In the Shade

Oil on Board  73cm x 91cm

Lions seem to spend a lot of time laying down in shade and I really liked this image capturing the dappled effect on the lions face. He was a beautiful boy.  He and his brother were following the herd of buffalo, causing a scuffle with the young bucks .
